Marty Springfield


HEAD COACH – CROSS COUNTRY, INDOOR TRACK AND OUTDOOR TRACK

Coach Springfield begins eighth year as the Head Coach of Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track.  Coach Springfield is a native of Hoover, AL.  He graduated from Berry High School, where he was a 5 sport athlete.  During his time as a Cross Country and Track coach, Coach Springfield has coached 345 All State athletes, 47  Individual State Champion, 5 State record holders and 3 All Americans.

Coach Springfield received his Bachelor of Science at Auburn University in 1996 and received his Masters of Education at the University of Montevallo in 1998. He and his wife Karen have three children, Jackson, Steven, Sara Elizabeth.

2016 Outdoor Track Girls team – 6a State Runners-up

2016 Indoor Track Girls team – State Champions

2015 Outdoor Track Girls team – 6a State Runners-up

2015 Indoor Track Girls team – 6A State Champions

2014 Indoor Track Girls team – 6A State Runners-up.

2007 – 2010 Assistant Coach Mountain Brook High School
During Coach Springfield’s time at Mountain Brook, they won 2 6A State Championships and had 1 6A State Runners up.

2001-2007  Head Coach Oak Mountain High School

Coach Springfield helped lead Oak Mountain to 1 State Championship and 2 State Runners up.

1999 -2001  Assistant Coach Oak Mountain High School 

Coach Springfield helped to build the program at a new high school.

1997-1999 Assistant Coach Hoover High School

Coach Springfield was a part of 4 State Championships and 3 State Runners up.
